Ruposhi Betar will not be able to broadcast their regular program on the 5th of Nov 2005 ONLY, because of a special fundraising program for Radiothon by Eastside Radio that day. Celebration of Durga Puja in Sydney

Devout Hindus celebrated their greatest extravaganza of Hindu Durga-pujas at various locations in Sydney on 8th and 9th of October, many people attended this event on both days. This year the puja was bigger than ever in Sydney and the people were in a very festive mood and enjoyed the occasion extremely. The special prayer was performed for the fight between good and evil so that the dark forces will hopefully eventually surrender to the divine forces.

Get together in honour of Mubarak Hossain Khan

On 2nd October, 2005, a small get together was held in honour of Mubarak Hossain Khan. Mubarak Hossain was DG in Shilpokalo Academy, Director of Bangladesh Radio and Chairman of the Nazrul Institute. He was also the Executive Director of the Human Development foundation and is also a famous sharad player. Mubarak Hossain did a lot of research in classical music and wrote many books. He also wrote many children fiction books. His wife is a famous singer, Fauzia Khan. Mubarak Hossain is currently visiting his son Rajit in Sydney. Photos...
