Boishakh at Canberra
Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra organised a Boishakhi Mela on the 2nd of May 2009 at Canberra Islamic Centre, Canberra. This was an indoor mela in a huge hall and it was well organised. There was a large turnout and the environment and atmosphere was very enjoyable overall. There were many presentations in the program such as children’s performances, poetry recitals, performances by different groups and some local artists. The organisers are very happy with the success of their mela.
