On the 31st of August, 2008, Bangabandhu Parishad Australia & Bangabandhu Society Australia observed ‘Jatio Shok Dibosh 2008’ at Parramatta Townhall, Parramatta. The chief guest, Mr. Assaduz-zaman Noor, arrived from Bangladesh to be present for the occasion. Many people attended the event. The chief guest delivered an inspiring and informative speech about Sheik Mojibur Rahman’s life, ideology and struggle for Bangladesh, muktijudho and Bangladesh’s current state. He was followed by a few local speakers, with the program ending with a short cultural program.
