On the 4th of March, 2007, a get-together was held in honour of the freedom fighter, Mr. Akku Chowdhury by Protity at Sirajus Salekinís residence. Mr. Chowdhury was a freedom fighter under the 9th sector and also the founder of the Bangladesh Muktijuddho Jadughor. This was an open discussion about the past, present and future of our freedom fight and independence. The 21st of February has been recognised as International Mother Language Day so this day is now well known all over the world. Though there was some rain during the day, the program continued as planned. This year, there were huge crowds and the bookstalls were very busy. During the day there were many programs and activities, such as speeches, performances from musical groups, dances, and poetry recitations.
